Learn RSS from the Expert! Bay Area SVAMA event (6/6/6)

I know I’ve been blogging the past few days on blogs, RSS marketing, web 2.0 marketing, etc… Here’s a great opportunity for you to hear an industry expert articulate the benefits of RSS Marketing. We at the American Marketing Association (Silicon Valley Chapter – SVAMA), are organizing a workshop on “Marketing with RSS/Blogs” by Bill Flitter, Founder & CMO of Pheedo, a premier feed advertising network (Check out Pheedo’s blog here).

Bill’s a self-proclaimed “marketing geek” and I’m sure there’d be loads of RSS marketing coolness that he’d be sharing with us at the event. He’ll be talking to us on the three factors driving the momentum of consumer controlled media:

1. Rising Usage of RSS by consumers as a standard method of consuming information.
2. Tremendous growth of the iPod, Podcasting and Tivo.
3. Ramp in creation of Blogs and other user-generated content.

If you’re interested in learning more about Blogs, RSS feeds and how you can measure and monetize them, this event would be a perfect place to start. Let me know if you’re attending and we can probably meet either before or after the event. Here’s your link to register for the event.

This promises to be a great followup to SVAMA’s March meeting on RSS (slides and audio available at http://www.svama.org/pastevents.html). This workshop will provide all the details needed to get started. Looking forward to a great program.
